Get out of your own wayBy Dave Hollis Get Out of Your Own Way is the first book Dave Hollis wrote, and he did an excellent job! If you’re a fan of Rachel Hollis’ writing, I think you’ll agree that it was a more masculine version of Girl Wash Your Face (which I absolutley loved as well). Hillbilly Elegy By J.D. Vance I will tell you that there is a lot of language used that I don’t care for, and would not normally recommend a book with this type of language. But I think it was used appropriately to give the reader an accurate depiction of how the author was raised, and it makes you appreciate even more what he has made of himself. I found this story hit close to home, and made me think about the communities that are so near to me, but I’m sure there are stories very similar all over the country that anyone can appreciate. It’s Not Supposed to be This Way By Lysa TerKeurst This book hit home! Lysa is so real and transparent about the disappointments and challenges she’s faced. What’s so incredible about this book is that Lysa is in the midst of the disappointing events as she’s writing Its Not Supposed To Be This Way. When I listened to this audiobook, I had just come through the most challenging season of my life. I can see how listening to this in the midst of heartache would be powerful and encouraging to press on in your own journey. Knowing that someone else is experiencing hardships at the same time as your challenges…
